Last Weekend was revenge of the BBQ week. Saturday had BBQ @ hutan something something with the girls. Girls = Srikandi = STF girls.

Some people don't understand the bond we have. The pride of saying I'm a srikandi. The need to meet up and go for reunions and weddings of srikandis. The ones that I can make it to anyways. Of course with other people in my other stages of life, have I bonds as well, but Srikandis, will always be just that. Srikandis. I won't say that my school years were all sugar and spice, because they weren't. I hated exams, I hated cleaning my locker, I hated pumping on the tar road. But I loved prep malam, I loved playing music [I won't say i loved the band, because seriously... I didn't. Making music was the only reason I stayed as long as I did], but ultimately, I loved my friends. And these are the only components [apart from the certs which are close to useless to me now] I brought out of school with me.

We reminisce. But not 24 hours... We think back, about the times that were, and go on to other stuff, the times that are. We can so long never meet, but when we finally do, just whale around eating drumsticks [Ok, for some they eat wings, or whatever part chicken is available]. Or never meet for many years, and yet have fun in a road trip to yet another srikandi wedding.

Sunday also had a BBQ @ Ferringghi. Near a haunted house I never knew existed. If Saturday was a BBQ amongst old friends, Sunday's was a gathering and the making of new friends. My dance instructor had a birthday party and invited all her students, and production group people, and many others. That was also a fun fun event. Of course no 'paus terdampar' activities here, but, getting to know new people is always an adventure. It may either be a good or a bad one, but always an adventure.

Can't wait for the next activity in my social life. Brunch with Tanz Ahoys?
