Long time no see!
I always read these books about people from another world from mine. Kids that are in the war, women who are married off to strengthen their tribe, Humans who are actually half beasts [erk?]. I dont really like books that are close to me. Maybe that's why I dont like chic flicks, their lives are somewhat similar to mine... [except shopping and never paying their credit card bills, how i hate that series!]
Last weekend, I went volunteering to tuition some kids. That was a really different experience. there were a few who couldnt read, and have dyslexia.
I was brought up in an education based family. Everyone around me knew how to read before entering school. I've never met anyone who couldn't read. I've never met anyone who didnt care about exams.
I actually have a whole bunch of emotions and experiences I want to share, but they are really not describable. But I can tell you this, people who emotionally injure or/and abandon kids are categorised as the worse people ever. In my books anyways.
I'm happy I went, and looking forward to the next session. I'm glad that my life still permits me to keep learning and discovering new things and people. I'm thankful I have my heart where it belongs.
