When i was in Germany, i used to complain a bit about the lack of delicious vege's like the ones back home. I missed Kangkung, and sawi, and ulam ulam... asyik asyik makan salad. there were not many green sayur like here in malaysia.

then we discovered the kedai asia. thats where we bought our sayuran, and mee mee, and kicap, sos tiram bagai. there was even petai, which i loved to buy. but this kedai asia was far from where i stayed. and i mean like... have to take a train (30 mins), then buy the stuff... and go back. it was always a tiring outing. even much so during winter.

those days, i used to think, is it worth it buying daun pandan? but nasi lemak tak sedap lah takde bau pandan. at home i just simply go to the back and take from there. no need to buy buy, or worry that it will layu or whatever. the thought of "bestnya kat malaysia... takyah beli semua nih" was always in mind.

And bought daun pandan for 45 cents.
