As u all know, i'll be starting my new job on monday. and in the process of starting new, there are lots and lots of forms that need to be filled, papers to sign dan sebagainya. I'm sure everyone is familiar with that.

The normal format is name, age, gender.... then comes race. And most of the papers i fill up normally gives the option as: 1. Malay, 2. Chinese, 3. Indian, 4. Lain lain.

oleh itu... what am i?

according to my birth cert, i am a kadazan. i guess that makes me a 4 eh? but then... a foreigner from lets say.... france, would also put down a 4. i asked a few people... and some said, "letak je melayu, sama je". but if it is sama.. then why didnt my birth cert just tulis melayu?

and i still cannot cannot cannot stand it when people say malaysia, sabah and sarawak. for instance, i got an sms today from a friend saying "kat kk lagi ke? bila nak turun malaysia?" the nerve of these people. oklah, we might call semenanjung malaya, but semenanjung was malaya... whereas malaysia was never without sabah and sarawak. and to think these ignorant people got an A1 for sejarah during SPM.

you know that iklan in mix fm? the one yang in support of getting to know malaysia or something? sila, sila, sila ikut nasihat diorg, and sila sila sila get to know malaysia...

bila cerita to tourists about the nice beaches, and culture and mountains, bangga... mount kinabalu in malaysia... tapi, bila buat speech... malaysia, sabah and sarawak.
